Modern, innovative, sustainable: 60 years of CEMO
Much has changed in 60 years of CEMO: New products were developed, locations were founded, employees were recruited and sales offices were opened. But the values of the company have remained consistent over the years: Sustainability, tolerance and best protection for man and nature have been the focus of CEMO for 60 years.
The success story of CEMO began with grape vats, barrels made of glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) and two employees. Founded in Weinstadt, Germany in 1960, the company specialised in the storage of hazardous substances worldwide meanwhile has sites worldwide. Not only has the number of
employees increased, but also the product range: In 1968 CEMO developed the first approved heating oil tanks made of GRP. In 2006 tank systems for AdBlue® were launched on the market and since 2017 mobile combined filling stations for diesel and AdBlue® have been available from CEMO.
What makes CEMO so special? The company is aware of its responsibility. Responsibility towards future generations and towards the environment. For example with innovative, durable solutions for safe storage – Made in Germany. But CEMO goes one step further: Sustainable relationships have also been the focus of the company for 60 years. Long-standing employees and enduring customer relationships are the hallmarks of this full-service provider for the storage of hazardous substances.
With a photovoltaic system on the roof of the production hall, CEMO is setting a good example, while the continuous development and fair manufacturing of products is also a concern of the CEMO team. A wish: In the future, it should be possible to decompose used plastics back into raw materials with chemical recycling. We think: CEMO will also find a solution – we’re confident of this!
